The revival is probably due to the recent release of the complete series of The Real Ghostbusters on DVD (which I have now :P, it’s fantastic) and the imminent release of the Ghostbusters video game.

The writers of the cartoon show tried to emulate the individual personality of each Ghostbuster as it was in the movie for the cartoon. I think they succeeded very well in doing so — there’s a continuity between the movie and the cartoon of how we believe Peter, Ray, Winston, and Egon would act in a certain situation. The writers were really fantastic in that regard.

I remember having taped this episode when i was 6 years old and only saw half of it as my dad accidently taped over it. Now I can watch it 19 years later, thank u so much for uploading this!! Nostalgia RUSH!!!
